Self Expression: Truly, anything goes in this type of shoot. You can wear your favorite lingerie and if that’s not your thing, a sexy sweater, a partners jersey…or nothing at all. There are no rules! This is all about you and how you want to be seen.
Body Positivity/Confidence: As women we are the hardest critics on ourselves, constantly comparing our bodies to mainstream media. This is the time to see yourself through someone else’s eyes. Boudoir photos provide you with a confidence boost like no other.
Empowerment: A transformative experience, providing you with the opportunity to overcome both minor to major insecurities.This time will allow you to embrace your unique features while helping you feel more comfortable and confident in your own skin.

“I had always thought about doing a boudoir shoot but after MANY failed attempts with other photographers for major life events, I lost faith in how I would show up in photos. After meeting NSP at an event, I truly believed they could finally get a photo I just might love.
The week before the shoot I was feeling nervous, I remember specifically thinking I should have dieted before and planned better. After my consultation planning call, my anxiety melted away. The thought and care Special Occasion and NSP puts into initial consultation is unreal. As your typical type A; I always handle my own styling, hair and makeup but I really leaned into the process and trusted this group of women to work their magic.
Chrissy was absolutely AMAZING.
Not only did she hit a home run with my look, but we connected instantly and she set the tone for the session. She was so hands on with every aspect of my look- she also took the time to educate me with what she was doing and why she was doing it. Her kindness really helped build the trust going into the rest of the session.
This experience was life changing.
I hate to sound cliché but this was the single event that changed my whole view on my body. When I left the studio I felt like the ultimate goddess and probably more comfortable in my own skin than I have ever felt. I am speechless on the shots that were captured of me.

The short answer is no. We are fully stocked with professional grade, photography specific makeup. BUT if you have a favorite lipstick, an unusual eyeshadow color that you are married to or any other product that you would like to incorporate into your styling, please bring it with you.

Absolutely! We love to accommodate both hair and makeup styling.

Yes! We have a globally stocked kit. However if you would like to bring your favorite lipstick and or foundation that you love we are happy to take a look at it and possibly use it while in styling.

Absolutely! While most curly haired girls have their own process, we love to enhance your natural texture.

The days of “dirty hair” are in the past. Products have come a very long way recently. We can always add a bit of grit, but we are incredibly limited if the hair is weighed down with oil. Please arrive with clean and dry hair.

While we love a good blow out, we request that you arrive with clean and completely DRY hair. With the way our styling appointments are scheduled, time doesn’t allow for a full blow-out, style and makeup application.

YES! An individual lash application is included with every appointment. While it’s not mandatory, we highly recommend them as they enhance the look of the makeup on camera and make your eyes absolutely pop.

While some of you may not leave the house without your lipstick or mascara on, we ask that you do your best to arrive with clean and dry skin. It’s okay to use moisturizer the day of your shoot, but please refrain from using anything that contains an SPF.
