At Special Occasion Hair & Makeup, every wedding package includes:
Complimentary Phone Consultation: An in depth 60 minute call to go over your entire wedding day, from potential timing, service requirements, first look location and of course all of your style inspiration. We will offer expert advice on how to prepare and ensure a successful bridal preview.
Bridal Preview: A 2-3 hour trial appointment for both hair and makeup. We don’t rush, we don’t take one photo and duplicate it. We ask for up to six inspo photos from all angles, where we take elements from each, and tailor it to your individual style and vision.
Wedding Day: We provide you with a complimentary morning-of timeline, taking into account your photographer’s timing, what time you have to get dressed as well as departure / first look timing. We arrive on time (or early!), ready to pamper you and your loved ones, creating the stress-free environment that every bride strives for. The best part- WE BRING EVERYTHING TO YOU!

100% yes! We bring everything to you. The only thing that you need to do is get up, relax and enjoy being pampered.

Yes, we offer both hair and makeup services. Staffing is based on the number of services requested.

We currently offer both options. We believe that each application has it’s place and it’s own set of benefits. We consider them both tools and advise each client which is best suited to their skin needs.

We are currently booking 12-18 months out and suggest booking ASAP to ensure availability. With that being said, don’t hesitate to reach out with a last minute request. We are always happy to look at our schedule.

While I’m sure your stylist does an amazing cut or highlight, they may not be comfortable with doing a finish style or a makeup application. We specialize in both of the above and provide styling FULL TIME for weddings and events.

Currently Chrissy is only taking bridal preview appointments with contracted clients and members of their bridal party.

Your final count is due 60 days prior to your wedding day. With that being said, we suggest confirming services ASAP to ensure staffing availability.

Yes, our on-location booking minimum is $750. This can be achieved with your bridal package and additional hair and or makeup services. Please contact us for in studio pricing and minimums.

Unfortunately, the $750 minimum still remains. You are welcome to invite other friends or family members to receive services, use it towards an in-studio accessory purchase or pay in full and work one on one with Chrissy.

You are always welcome to add services based on staffing availability, but reducing numbers is not allowed once everything is confirmed at the 60 day mark. If there is a change, we recommend offering styling to one of your guests or family members.

Our dates are reserved on a first come first served basis. A contract, service sheet and a retainer must be in place to call the date your own!

Our travel fee within Monroe County is $50/stylist working your event. Outside of Monroe County travel is based on travel time from Chrissy’s studio located in the 14626 zip code. This is billed by the hour per stylist. Exact address will be needed for an accurate quote.

We charge a flat rate for all styling provided.

At this time, we do not provide extensions or the option for extension rental. However, we are happy to provide you with links to our preferred product lines.

We recommend scheduling your hair and makeup preview approximately 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding. At this time, your hair and skin are the closest to what they will look like on your big day. Obviously if you are traveling or your schedule is a bit more limited, we will work with you to get you scheduled accordingly.

Unfortunately, we do not recommend this and most likely wouldn’t be available. We schedule trials Mondays-Thursday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. These appointments are scheduled for up to 3 hours. We do however recommend wearing your style all day to see how everything wears and provide us with feedback so we can adjust accordingly.

While we know this is a super exciting time for you and you want to include everyone in your process, we ask that you limit your guest count to 1 additional person.

Gratuity is 100% at the client’s discretion and not added onto your invoice. While it’s never expected, it’s always appreciated.
